Outdoor activities

Outdoor activity days are a chance for employees, friends or family to have fun and achieve in new ways. Which is why we provide a wide range of activities to suit all age groups and price ranges.

These are just a selection:

Mountain bike rally
A tricky obstacle course is set out through which participants have to navigate - on their bicycles, transporting a foam "bomb" which has to be delivered to a specific target along the way. Tricky and challenging.

Falconry
A professional falconer will be on hand to not only talk about the history of falconry, but will involved guests in getting birds ready for a hunting demonstration, using falcons, owls, red tails and other birds of prey. When a bird is sent up, the party will see it circling the area, checking out the thermals and mapping her approach - before diving at speeds of up to 125mph at a lure. An intriguing, educational activity.

Archery
After tuition in the use of the ancient weapon, guests will be allowed to practise their new skills - and then take part in a competition.

Laser clays
Clay pigeon shooting without all the noise and mess, but with just as much of the fun. Guests will be taught how to use standard shotguns which have been de-activated and fitted with high-tech electronic light emitters which fire infra-red signals at reflective clays. Hits and misses are recorded on a large electronic scoreboard (which also emulates the sounds of the clays breaking as hits are made).
